As I start my N=1 trial of a month of Paxlovid and Molnupiravir, I'm leaving for a month long gathering of beautiful souls deep in the Himalayas.

Rather than excluding all possible confounding variables, I'm maximising them.

We used to have heroic medical science, taking risks, stacking therapies, listening to our intuition. Now we have science based on arse covering and safetyism, which condems people with difficult to treat illness to continued illness and death. We die and access euthanasia while promising treatments lie on the shelf, because the number one priority of medical research is to avoid any possible legal challenge and compensation claim. New medicines that could be proven or disproven within 6 months and a few million dollars instead take 10 years and billions of dollars to develop, if they ever reach anyone at all.

I reject this with every cell of my body. It's time for an emergency medicine approach to chronic disease like MECFS, Long Covid, Vax injury and Lyme disease.
